Backstory:
A woman of Ishgard, Ilbette had a firsthand experience of the Dragonsong War. As a lady-in-waiting, the elezen found little happiness; even less in the prospect of being married off or going to the front lines. Ilbette, as she'd been, disappeared into what she'd considered freedom. However, life quickly showed her what it held outside the city's comforts, which was very little. Tailfeather would be her home for several summers until she joined a group of sky pirates, launching herself into a life of piracy.Several summers have passed since then, with the woman now the acting proprietress of Étoile Filante Shipping Company in Ul'dah. Now, she can often be found at her place of business, the airship docks, or out with her children in the city.

Personality:
A woman with a rough exterior stuck together with an air of uptight professionalism, Ilbette presents as an enigma in her own right.
She's more likely to berate you than be your best friend, yet can be sickeningly sweet. Her secrets certainly won't be in the open without some sort of good reason. Even then, the chances she's giving the complete truth are slim at best.
Of course, that doesn't mean that the Ishgardian doesn't have any friends. There are certainly two or three people she actively tolerates. Her children, she adores.
She's certainly also not afraid to give her opinion either if it's properly warranted, or enough gil is involved.
